Party Wall Survey

The Party Wall etc. Act (1996) in England and Wales governs work involving a shared wall between neighbours or commercial properties to prevent building work that could compromise the structural integrity of any shared wall or adjoining properties. When appointed, a Party Wall surveyor has a duty to the Act rather than the persons appointing them and resolve matters in a dispute in a fair and practical way.

A key part of this activity is to visit the relevant properties and to undertake a photographic schedule and detailed schedule of condition report to act as a record in the event of damage or issues arising from works.
