Reinstatement Cost Assessment (RCAs)
Preparing Reinstatement Cost Assessments (RCA’s) using GoReport saves substantial time and increases accuracy by eliminating cumbersome number-crunching to arrive at the recommended insurance valuation.
The GoReport RCA solution is designed to capture and report all the information relevant to calculating the ‘day one reinstatement’ figure (declared value), index-linked for inflation if required.
Using a pre-structured template, relevant key information is captured on your iPad during the survey. This might include an assessment of the property age, location, type of building, building structure and types of construction, layout and measurements to calculate Gross Internal Floor Areas (using IMPS 2), occupancy information, summary of building services installations, details of external areas, etc, along with supporting photographs and floor/site plans.
The elemental data and measurements captured during the survey are uploaded from your iPad to the GoReport Web Portal, with the capability of automatic calculations on the final report for areas and volumes for each element, such as walls, floors, ceilings, roofs, etc, as well as including for engineering services installations and any specialist equipment.
Referencing established cost data such as BCIS, the GoReport solution calculates the value of each element, multiplying the cost rates you enter by the calculated quantities from the on-site survey. This detailed elemental costs summary can be included as supporting calculations in your Reinstatement Cost Assessment Report or just summated to the overall calculated insurance value if preferred.
The GoReport RCA solution is offered as either a pre-built GoReport Smart Library Template or custom built in collaboration with you to your exact requirements or service offering. GoReports multi-format output capability can produce both a summary report and full detailed inspection information as required.
